Your Love Story How did you meet, was it love at first sight? Tell us about the proposal!

Met at work, I wouldn’t talk to Paul at first but then started socializing with a group of work friends and got to know each other. Started dating in June 2018, Paul proposed on Valentines Day at home in Feb 2021 (during lockdown) with a meal cooked and front room decorated with balloons etc ready for me when I finished work.

Your Wedding Day Vision & Inspiration What was your inspiration and vision for your day?

Just a perfect day that ran smoothly with no hiccups

Why did you choose The West Mill Venue?

It was the 1st place we viewed and fell in love with the place straight away.

Did you do any DIY projects?

 Made our own invitations and confetti cones.

Cake – a burgundy themed teapot and tea cup cake. 

Flowers – Burgundy and cream bouquets and flowers inside goldfish bowls as table centre pieces

Alcohol. Because No Great Story Started With A Salad (…or did it?) What was on your food & drinks menu?

Starter – ham hock

Main – roast chicken dinner

Dessert – Eton mess

What are your favourite memories or highlights of your day?

Walking down the aisle to see Paul with tears in his eyes of happiness and pride.

Also the singing waiter surprising our guests by falling over in front of them.
