Your Wedding Day Vision & Inspiration What was your inspiration and vision for your day?
Elegant, pretty and romantic

Why did you choose The West Mill Venue?
We absolutely love the history, heritage and architecture of The West Mill and really liked how we could celebrate the occasion on all four floors. No other venue offered this service or space.
Did you do any DIY projects?
Yes – bottle opener favours were purchased from Amazon and my bridesmaids and I tied a ribbon onto them to match our wedding colours.
Tell us about the details –
Flowers: Absolutely incredible and everything we could have wished for. Many of our guests commented on how beautiful they were.
Stationary (by paperchain weddings) We had our stationery match throughout the whole process… Justine did us so proud from designing the save the dates all the way through to the table plan. The designs matched our theme perfectly.
Cake (by the old Manor House bakery) We showed Lisa a few designs of images we’d found on Pinterest, then left it with her to design and create – another detail that matched our theme perfectly and was absolutely delicious.
Alcohol. Because No Great Story Started With A Salad (…or did it?) What was on your food & drinks menu?
Bucks Fizz, Prosecco, Lager, Fruit Cider and wines for the tables.
We had bar snacks for our drinks reception, and kept the wedding breakfast traditional with a chicken roast – many of our guests commented on how delicious the food was and that the portion sizes were perfect.
The Hangover Only Lasts A Day But The Memories Last A Lifetime Can you sum up your wedding day in 3 words?
BEST DAY EVER!!!
What are your favourite memories or highlights of your day?
So difficult to choose, but the ceremony itself was so beautiful – incredibly emotional but a memory we’ll cherish forever.
The wedding breakfast entrance (after we’d pressed the level four button in the lift – we went past all of our guests on the third floor waving their napkins) Funny moment that made us all laugh. Apparently our faces were a picture! Haha.
Do you have any advice for future Brides & Grooms?
Your wedding day will be an overwhelming whirlwind but embrace every second – it’s over so fast.
