We are huge dog lovers here at The West Mill, and recognise the important role they play in your family. You invite the rest of your family – so why not your furry children!? So, whether you want them to play a role in your nuptials, or have their moment of fame during your portraits, you are more than welcome to bring them along.
Your Day, Your Way – With Your Dog by Your Side
Our exclusive-use venue offers a relaxed and individual setting, ensuring that your dog can be included in your special day without any hitches. From the ceremony in The Cotton Quarter to photos in the south-facing courtyard, your furry friend can be by your side throughout the festivities, up until your wedding breakfast, at which point we request that they are taken home.
Making Your Dog’s Day Special
To ensure your dog enjoys the day as much as you do, we recommend considering their comfort and wellbeing. The West Mill’s spacious grounds and riverside walkway provide ample space for a leisurely stroll or memorable photographs. However, we kindly ask that dogs remain on a lead while on the premises and are supervised at all times.
For couples who wish to have their dog involved in specific parts of the day, such as the ceremony or photos, we suggest arranging for a trusted friend or professional pet chaperone to assist. This ensures that your dog is cared for, allowing you and your guests to fully enjoy the celebration.
Accommodation and Pet Policies
While we love having dogs participate in the day’s events, please note that our on-site accommodations, The Mill House and The Mill Cottage, are not pet-friendly. We recommend making arrangements for your dog to be collected or returned home after their part in the festivities concludes.
