Your Love Story – How did you meet, was it love at first sight? Tell us about the proposal!
We met through mutual friends at our local park as a pair of teenagers! We then went on to date for over 8 years before Tom finally proposed! In that time we’ve bought a house, a dog and travelled together! Our wedding day was actually our 10 year anniversary which made it all the more special!
Your Wedding Day Vision & Inspiration What was your inspiration and vision for your day?
Elegant golds and greens! I loved the idea of leaning more towards the festive vibes that late November brings!
Why did you choose The West Mill Venue?
It just fit our vision so well, I wanted a venue with character so that we didn’t have to rely on overly dressing it! The venue staff were also absolutely amazing at every meeting we attended and were so accommodating, even when I had my ‘bridezilla’ moments! I couldn’t have asked for a better team to support us during the buildup and on our special day!
Did you do any DIY projects?
N/A – I was too stressed for that!
Tell us about the details – Flowers, Cake, Decor, Stationary….
My flowers and cake were extra special to me as I know both my florist (Ally) and my cake maker (Caroline) really well on a personal level! I have supported both of their businesses for years and will continue to do so!
Alcohol. Because No Great Story Started With A Salad (…or did it?) What was on your food & drinks menu?
Starter – Bruschetta
Main – Rib of beef
Dessert – Crème Brûlée
And lots of wine and beers! I’m an avid chicken wine drinker, so there was plenty of that!

Chilled, Hilarious, Outrageous!
What are your favourite memories or highlights of your day?
Just having all of my favourite people in one place and marrying the love of my life! Having a boogie with my best friends made all the stress of wedding planning so worth it!
Do you have any advice for future Brides & Grooms?
Trust your vendors, relax and enjoy the planning process! Things will go wrong on the day, but it won’t matter!
