Your Wedding Day Vision & Inspiration What was your inspiration and vision for your day?
Just very chilled, relaxed day with all our favourite friends and family, then a good party!
Why did you choose The West Mill Venue?
The minute we walked in, we just knew! We had seen a few places before, but nothing felt ‘right’. We didn’t even know the venue was there, and we always go to Darley abbey with the kids, so just somewhere we can go back to look over at whenever 😊
Tell us about the details – Flowers, Cake, Decor, Stationery….
Shannon decorated our cake, which looked AMAZING, so a big thank you there. We did our own table signs etc.
Alcohol. Because No Great Story Started With A Salad (…or did it?) What was on your food & drinks menu?
Our whole theme was yellow, so we had the most amazing limoncello spritz (thank you to the catering team)
And our beautiful honey pot pudding which finished off our meal perfectly… we had so many comments about how amazing the food was.
I’m hoping we can come back to a wedding there just for the food 😊
The Hangover Only Lasts A Day But The Memories Last A Lifetime Can you sum up your wedding day in 3 words?
Just… BEST DAY EVER! Everyone had said how much you enjoy it, but we seriously seriously did. It was as chill as we wanted it, everyone had the most amazing day, everything went perfect. Couldn’t have wished for anything more… apart from i wish i had another pulled pork cob in the evening… still kicking myself for it hahah!
What are your favourite memories or highlights of your day?
We absolutely loved the 10mins that we got taken into the dressing room for drink and canapes, gave us time to talk over the ceremony as i was sooooo nervous so didn’t really look at Tom much haha, but that was such a lovely touch to the day.
Do you have any advice for future Brides & Grooms?
Just enjoy every single second of the day, it goes by so fast that you really need to take in each moment and spend as much time as you can with your partner, it’s ‘your’ day.
