The impact of the new Coronavirus COVID-19 is being felt all over the world and in this unprecedented and stressful time we want to make it known that we are here to help, reassure and fully sympathise with the situation.
These are worrying times for us all and our priority is to keep you, our valued customers, your guests and our team of staff and families safe and informed.
We have been rigorously following the recommendations of Public Health England and the World Health Organisation and will continue to do so.
On Friday 20th March the Government announced that all pubs, bars, restaurants and leisure venues must close with immediate effect. We have been guided by this Government sanction and The West Mill Venue is now closed until the restriction is lifted.
So what happens now…?
In light of the lastest news and guidance, The West Mill unfortunately cannot continue to hold weddings until further notice.
We know this is a hugely frustrating and emotional time but we want you to know that this is not an end to your wedding plans but a temporary pause and we’re here to help you in every way that we can.
We have now begun a process whereby we’re giving our couples the option to postpone their wedding dates.
Due to the amount of weddings we have coming into our peak season we have to work as fairly and methodically as we can. The team have now started to contact our couples in a chronological order to begin postponing their wedding dates.
We will be starting with couples marrying in March/April 2020 and will then move forward in contacting weddings due to take place in May 2020, June 2020 and so forth for as long as the current global situation dictates that this is a necessary measure.
We’d like to thank you for your continued patience at this time whilst we work as rapidly as we can to administer the changes.
We hope you can appreciate and understand this is the fairest way to work through this unprecedented situation. We will be in contact as soon as we possibly can to get you reallocated and get your wedding plans back on track.
To comply with social distancing, we will be conducting all planning meetings virtually via video call or telephone. Your event manager will be in touch to discuss this with you. Where possible, planning meetings will still take place 3 months before your wedding date.
Viewings & New Bookings
Until further notice we will not be holding face to face viewings or other onsite appointments. This is to comply with social distancing and to make sure we have as many members of the team available to administer changes and answer your questions.
At present we are not currently taking new bookings. We will keep you updated on the status of this and we look forward to welcoming you to the venue to discuss your wedding plans in the future.
